Concept map on Sweden (Geography). Sweden is a country in Northern Europe overlooking the Baltic Sea and bordering Norway and Finland. The capital of Sweden is Stockholm. The territory is varied: in the north, the mountains of the Scandinavian Alps prevail, in the center, plains extend, and in the south, plateaus are found. There are numerous lakes, such as Vänern, Vättern, and Mälaren, and short rivers. The climate is subarctic in the north and continental in the south. The economy is based on industry, forestry, agriculture, and services, making Sweden one of the most developed countries in Europe.
