Concept map on magnetism (science). Magnetism is the property of some bodies, called magnets, to attract ferrous objects. Each magnet has two poles, North and South, which cannot be separated and between which attractive or repulsive forces are manifested. The magnetic field is the space in which the force of a magnet acts. There are natural magnets, such as magnetite, and artificial magnets obtained by rubbing, contact or induction. The Earth itself behaves like a large magnet, generating the phenomenon of terrestrial magnetism.
