HUMANISM
Humanism: concept map – A history outline about Humanism, a cultural movement that began in Italy between the 14th and 15th centuries, around 1350–1450, and later spread throughout Europe. Humanists rediscovered the culture of the ancient Greeks and Romans and placed human beings, reason, and the ability to understand and shape the world at the center of their thinking. The map explores the critical study of ancient texts and the Bible, which contributed to the development of philology, the scientific study of texts. It also explains the secular spirit of Humanism, its strong religious dimension, and its role in laying the foundations of the Renaissance.
