EARTH - INTERNAL STRUCTURE

This concept map about the internal structure of the Earth provides a clear summary and diagram of the planet’s layers. The Earth is composed of three main parts: the crust, mantle, and core. The crust is the outermost layer, with a thickness between 5 and 70 km, and together with the upper mantle forms the lithosphere. Beneath the crust lies the mantle, which extends to about 2890 km in depth and is divided into an upper rocky part and a more fluid lower part. At the center is the core, mainly made of iron and nickel, divided into a liquid outer core and a solid inner core, which is also the hottest part of the Earth.
