Human actions, such as the use of fossil fuels and deforestation, increase greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This causes an alteration of the air's composition that adds to the natural climate variability, creating an imbalance. The main consequence is global warming, meaning the increase in the average temperature of Earth. This phenomenon leads to evident effects such as melting glaciers, rising sea levels, heatwaves, droughts, and extreme weather events. Understanding this link between human causes and climatic consequences is fundamental to forming conscious and responsible citizens towards the protection of the planet.
